10 Reasons to Attend Orleans Craft Beer Fest

With over 100 different beers to try, (not to mention ciders, wine and a few spirits), great food, games,  and live entertainment, there is something for everyone this year.  But why just take my word for it right?  Well actually you should take my word because I am honest, been there two years in a row (including the inaugural event) and well just because.  Regardless of what you think of my opinion I do have ten great reasons to attend the Orleans Craft Beer Fest.

 Top 10 Reasons to attend:

#1 – BEER – Yes, you just can’t start a list like this without beer at the top.  From craft breweries, to micro and nano breweries, and everything in between, the festival is a beer lover’s paradise.  Your  Ticket comes with  two tokens good for beer or food.tickets plus a sample glass so you can get sampling right away!

#2 – GET YOUR GAME ON – There are so many fun games scattered through out the Fest.  Yahtzee anyone, maybe ring toss, corn hole. Maybe you might want to try your hand at Jenga?  No matter the interest I am sure you will find a game you love.

#3 – HOW THEY ENTERTAIN YOU – The live music stage this year is awesome. So many great acts and I may be a tad bias but holy heck The Honest Heart Collective is playing Saturday night. Full lineup is available here.

#4 – THE FOOD-  So many great food vendors this year. Meatings is back with their lip smackingly delicious BBQ.  New for 2019 let’s TACO bout fun finger food. Walking Tacos is making their debut and Golden Fries is also appearing.  I for one cannot wait to sample a bit of everything or a lot of everything.

#5 – STREET PARTY– It’s more than just a Festival, it’s more than just beer.  It is an honest to goodness EAST END STREET PARTY.  How amazing is that, not your normal fest, not your normal party.  A marriage of all things we love

#6 – HOME BREW COMPETITION – Every year there is a Home Brew Competition where everyone can submit their own special brew.  Bonus is the Winner then gets to partner with one of the Sponsoring Craft Breweries to produce and release their award winning Beer.  How fun is that.

#7 -H2O – Keeping hydrated at the festival is important and this year S&R Plumbing has stepped up to supply the Festival with hydration stations to provide FREE water ?! S&R Plumbing is a long standing company in the Orléans area and I think this is an awesome partnership.

#8 – SECRET LOUNGE – Search around, you never know what you will find.  We stumbled upon the greatest private lounge on top of the Trailer.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the show from a bird’s eye view.

#9 – SAY CHEESE! – A fun Photo frame available to all of us.  Get your phone, snap a pic and don’t forget to share #wishyouwerebeer

#10 – ORLEANS – and best of all it is right here in Orleans.  Practically in our backyard.  For me almost even walking distance in a pinch but also right on the busline.  No need to worry about expensive cabs or ubers or really long bus rides from downtown.  Stay local, support local, celebrate local.
