Loving Life after 50

Favourite cookie recipe for #blogmas14 today,  hmmm this is a difficult task because I do go “cookie crazy” over the holidays, but funny thing Kent’s fav is Swedish Strips and guess what, every year they are the first cookies I bake and the Chocolate Chip Shortbreads are usually next so I  guess they may be the household specialties.

swedish strips

Is there anything better than a quiet evening together with cookies and hot drinks?? Tonight we sampled the new Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream in our tea, I know how awesome is that?? If you are a bourbon drinker and you also like Baileys type liquors you need to check this out.
( Swedish Strips, Chocolate Shortbreads, Peanut Butter Truffles and Oreo Mint Truffles)

M & M's and christmas cookies

I do love Christmas Baking and sharing my recipes so as much as I published a lot last year I promise I still have some fun ones saved up for you this year, can you say Peanut Butter Truffles.

Leaving the baking and the Christmas themes temporarily lets talk more fun features, OUTFITS,  I mean how fun is that right?? Well today I did go for the fun ( or clownish if this is not your style), I decided to let the kitten come out to play. When I put these pieces together I was thinking fun and then after I got dressed I thought OMG, I am back in the matchy 80’s, remember all those matchy outfits we wore ( or some of us older than 40 12 25 50 remember).
So wearing my leopard skirt from J Crew ( summer weight but still works) with a leopard sweater but an actual picture of leopard sweater LOL ( Thanks Old Navy), Threw some plaid underneath, some great tights and high boots and there ya have it. CATWOMAN.
Sweater, tights and Flannel are all Old Navy, Boots are Shoe Dazzle and necklace (?)  Bag is from Kate Spade
