Loving Life after 50

A Labour of Fashion

Today is the day, I am so very excited, time to pull out the party hats, blow up the balloons and cue the fireworks…. a new link up has arrived.  My newest baby A Labour of Fashion, a fun gathering every Thursday where ya’all can come hang with me for the day,  please. please do maybe we will even have cupcakes to go along with the balloons.

Today’s outfit is inspired by the frigid temperatures we are experiencing in Ottawa and elsewhere I am sure.  Wool. layers, knits, everything we have to keep us warm and toasty.  This is one of the awesome sweaters I found at Banana Republic in Charlotte, I normally do not think of beige and grey together but hey I think it works. Pairing the sweater with my grey skirt from Ricki’s ( featured a few times already) argyle tights from Old Navy and of course my OTK Boots from Shoe Dazzle (similar). And have ya noticed the collar??? found this baby on line at Go Jane and fell in love

Yes I am the crazy fool standing outside in the snow without a jacket/hat/mitts but I swear it was only for two minutes as I quickly snapped some pictures.  Kids do not try this at home it was -35 c (-31F).

  • First of all I am so honored, happy, lucky and blessed to be your very first co-host for A Labour of Fashion. I absolutely love the name of the link-up too. I hope it is super successful!

Your outfit is lovely. I adore that sweater. And how fun that in today's post I am also wearing beige and cognac boots. And I took out my outfit for tomorrow and I will be pairing gray with beige, like you did. I had to laugh at your "kids, don't try this at home" comment. Our -5 Celsius feels warm compared to your temps there lol.
