Loving Life after 50

Chambray for the Win

This week has been a funny “dress” or “style” week, I have gone from uber casual to dressy , from winter to spring, from florals to stripes and even some leopard thrown in… the one consistent factor has been the smile on my face as I pose outside without freezing my a…butt off.  Isn’t it great how a little warmth and sunshine can make us feel oh so happy

So wearing a real comfy outfit that once again I stole from hmmm someone I seem to copy a lot, she really must think I am a stalker gal, but truly it is because I admire her style and yea happen to have all the pieces already.  I am just the older more seasoned version. I tried to change this one slightly, I have several pairs of leopard shoes but I thought the floral oxford would be a great touch and I went with a navy shorter blazer, I do want to try a slightly longer Boyfriend style blazer next time.

So I am winging my way East, heading back to New Brunswick for the weekend.  It is my grand mothers 95 birthday.  Holy Cow right NINETY FIVE years on this earth and wow she has seen a lot of changes. Nana still lives on her own, been driving and even takes a woman whom she calls ” the old lady” to bingo every week. She has a laptop and her own Facebook account and loves doing her crosswords on line,  so how totally cool is that. I surely hope that those genes are hereditary.
I just realized that when she was my age, 51, Wearing nautical Red white and blue was all the rage, so yesterdays outfit obviously shows how similar I am to my Nana
