Loving Life after 50

What a difference a week makes (plus 4300 KM’s)

Last Wednesday I finally got to break out some spring shoes and dared to bare my snowy white legs
( hard to believe these babies were tannish just two months ago), back in the land of the living or at least my living, Saturday was not quite the same….. Heading out for a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday night I thought I would try a ” seasonal” variation of my black dress/denim outfit. This just seemed a perfect post for Mix It Mondays.

Now, I don’t want to deceive you too much because if I had waited till Sunday to wear this outfit I would have been fine . Sun came out, melted the rest of the snow in the back yard and we could actually sit on the deck. My spring shoes and barelegs would have been ok. Saturday though, nope, I actually had to add a scarf and gloves because the wind was really chilly.
Both variations work but I much prefer the bare legged one, well just because,  I do love the leather leggings and leopard boots but I would much rather break out the spring stuff at this point in time.

Do you try seasonal variations??? do you try and winterize your favourite spring/summer pieces?

Today I am linking with

I could use most of my summer pieces in winter since winter always requires layers. So summer pieces are under coats or blazers.

Still got it in that sexy LBD. I am glad to see no more snow! =D

  • Me too on the no snow, it is amazing how much of a good mood you can be in when the snow finally leaves.

In Houston, you really have no choice but to recycle and layer, unless, of course, you have the clothing budget of Ms Bradshaw, and how many of us real women actually do? 🙂 although you much prefer the bare leg look, I do think the jewellery added a lovely spot of colour and Spring zest into everything.

  • Yea! Some sun. Nothin wrong with white legs my friend.. :-)) Great layering , and I love the leggngs over the dress!!

  • I always try to work my clothes all year around. I know you have to be hating the bi-poplar weather.

  • hating it with a passion and wishing I could send it for its anti anxiety meds to get the good side back

  • They are so comfy, walked 4 hours in them last week. Snow is all gone and now I have fingers crossed

  • Makes it easy to justify buying extra summer pieces when you can wear them all year LOL

We are having similar weather, it is either raw and rainy/snowing, or 70 and sunny. Ha! Loving your layered look and your Target espadrilles (I bought the black!)
