Loving Life after 50

It may be a Grey Day but I have my Power Ball Ticket ( and a link up)

How many of you reading this post are thinking, wow how beautiful, look at all that pretty snow? I know many of you are and that would make you either a) a ski fanatic or b) living somewhere in the south I am guessing.  OK that sounds a little factious and I don’t mean for it to me, it is pretty and I would probably be enjoying it more if it wasn’t -20 and if it had not really messed up my plans the day before. I was supposed to drive to Ogdensburg to pick up a few things but this snow made sure that did not happen, so I had to rearrange my work day to accommodate that trip ( bonus though,  because I was there I made sure I purchased a power ball or two so I could be a billionaire right now)

Have any of you purchase a Power Ball ticket, if you are reading this I suspect you didn’t win right?? I was shocked at the line up Wednesday, and the fact it was almost all Canadians, do you know that almost 75% of Canadians live within 100 miles of the border. Crazy fact isn’t it. I live 60 miles so it is not a big deal to head “south” for a few items ( especially if those items are at Target). 60 minutes to the border, heck it is quicker then my commute during the work day and that is only 10 miles.
So other fun fact just in case I am a billionaire today because if I won I would be, why you ask… well even when you take off the federal US Tax and I opt to take it in a lump sum, when you convert it back to Canadian yep over a billion ( and no taxes on lotto winnings in Canada, I know other awesome reason to live in the Great White North, medicare and no taxes on winnings)
So what would you do with a billion dollars, or even 60 million or 20 million? Do you have a plan? We do,  Kent and I agreed from the beginning on what we would do if we won a big lottery. Here is our plan:
It gets divided in half and one half is put away/aside for us and our future then the other half well..
it gets split in half so each of us has a quarter that we must give away, yep thats right giveaway.
so if we won a billion each of us would be charged with giving away 250,000,000. Thats a lot of friends I hear coming out of the woodwork ( just kidding)
I am serious we each have agreed and we each have a list of the people that we would want to receive a portion of the money. The cool thing is the list is based on percentages so regardless of 60,000,000 or 250,000,000 what is allocated stays the same.  My list has changed over the years to add in people that have grown to mean more to us and omit those that never seem to be around. Have you thought out what you could do with that amount of money or even any amount of winnings?  WE just like to have fun dreaming but apparently I should keep dreaming because I heard on the radio I have a better chance of getting killed by a vending machine then I do of winning.
One thing though I am pretty sure I will keep blogging for awhile because this is a hobby I love, I may take a bit of a break but just a bit ( and I would just keep having Ashley redesign my blog daily to match my mood, OK maybe weekly , then she would have enough to stay home with Grace each and every day, and that is your big hint to stay tuned for just maybe a new look in the new year)
