Loving Life after 50

New Chic Look on the Cruise

I am feeling like a bit of a slacker folks and for that I do apologize Kent and I both got hit by the flu bug on the last day of our cruise and it is still kicking the c… out of me.  Guess its the perfect way to detox after an eight day cruise, four days of no eating or drinking. Only downside is we are still on vacation with the kids so I really need to get better quick, upside is I do already have outfit pictures taken.  Kent became my own cruise photographer even better than a tripod but I am relatively confident he doesn’t want the job permanently

.

I found this dress at Ricki’s several years ago and it is perfect for vacation, made of a jersey material but the beading around the neck just makes it dressy enough to suit many an occasion.  This time I added my new necklace from New Chic.  Such a pretty little piece, the pastels really accentuate the dress perfectly. Funny story about this necklace, I received a gift card and while I was shopping on line I thought I would add this necklace as the perfect addition to the two tops I wanted but apparently I am shopping cart challenged at times and ended up only ordering the necklace and apparently left everything else in the cart OOPS.

and lets talk about the backdrop, I love that Carnival has paintings everywhere on the ship as well as huge murals.  Always the perfect backdrop.

Dress is Rickis, necklace C/O New Chic, Clutch by Coach and Sandals from Payless.

and can I share without including the photographer… Just need to get him to smile next time.Kent is wearing a Haggar Sportcoat with a Tommy Hilfiger Shirt, J Crew Pants and  Margueritaville Shoes.
