Today was supposed to be spring like and honestly shouldn’t one expect spring like on May 4th? So I dressed the part and ended up freezing all day. The sun went away, the wind picked up and I found out Yellowknife was 10 degrees warmer then here. How is that possible I ask.
Fun story about my awesome linen pants from Old Navy. They, BTW, just arrived this week but were not an intended purchase. I have been watching a peplum top pop up all over Instagram, you now the one I mean…. well I was trying hard to resist. I mean I was reliving the Buffalo Dress trend all over again. Just because everyone else loved the top did not mean I needed it… but I had to check it out, and then it ended in my shopping cart. And who can buy just one thing on line at Old Navy, not me. I found these linen pants and realized they were the perfect addition to my Spring/Summer Wardrobe and I cannot wait to wear them with the peplum top. Great pattern mixing. I may also have purchased this and this dress so stay tuned for future posts. Old Navy is killing it this year, the Linen Shop, The Hazy Day Collection, ON Trend… I am going crazy… I cannot even sign into the website because I want it all.
For today I paired them with a solid navy tank (Old) a Blazer from Ricki’s (really old but please tell me if you have seen anything similar, I need a new one), and a contrasting striped shoe ( shoe dazzle)
add my fav anchor necklace and it was a perfect spring outfit (for a not so spring like day). For walking my sperry’s (similar) seemed perfect
