It is amazing how three seperate pieces all purchased from Old Navy over a span of three years can work together to form what may be my most favourite look of the season. Taking a Linen striped blazer, with a peplum cami and anchor shorts has formed an outfit I am in love with.
I had to work this weekend and the temperature was what some might think was scorching hot, me I loved it. What I didn’t love was working and not being poolside. I tired to find an outfit that balanced summer casual with work appropriate and was one that allowed me to remain comfortable while bouncing from one room to another. Bargaining in itself is hot work but in a heat wave….. I think I managed to create an outfit that could take me to pretty much any venue I wanted without feeling out of place ( and finally time to break the fedoras out again)
So lets dissect the pieces for a moment, this top is popping up everywhere, in fact it is sold out on line but as much as I try to be my own fashion person sometimes I need the popular piece. This top just spoke to me and allows me to transform so many pieces. Never one to stay totally on trend I tend to mix this piece with stripes and what the heck lets try anchors. The shorts purchased a few years ago are still perfect, A great length for work and a not to serious pattern. I added the converse because I was walking a lot on Saturday and they really seemed to up the cool factor. Old Navy never fails to impress me, quality, easily affordable pieces that can be timeless yet still trendy.
Do you have this peplum cami in your wardrobe? How have you styled it. I loved it with my striped pants (here) but I think I love it this way even more.
