A Spooky Witch Hat Wreath

Canadian Thanksgiving is over so it is time to transition to a Halloween Theme.  What a great time of year, so many home decor transitions, all with the same underlying theme but still a fresh look each month.  Sunday after the Wedding was over I decided a trip to Michael’s was in order and so was Halloween.

My Halloween Wreath uses most of my Fall wreath decor, so I am going to show you in three quick steps how to transition from a fallscape to a Halloweenacape. This was my Fall wreath I showed you in September.  Burlap and Decomesh with a few leaves and flowers added for impact.

1) I removed all of the flowers

 2) added black decomesh for impact, I debated adding purple as well but decided instead to leave the chevron burlap.

 3) I have a collection of felt witch hats that I added throughout the wreath. The hats were actually a garland I found at Michaels a few years ago but I cut it up.  loved this look more.  I then added my Spooky sign in the middle and the wreath was complete.

I also found these ceramic books and skull at Michaels’s and they seemed the perfect addition to my pumpkin collection.

How quick and easy was that?  One of these days I need to create a you tube how to, and show you how quick this really is. My Mantle and fireplace are now Halloween ready.

  • This is so cool! I have been looking for another Halloween decorating project to do. It reminds me of the wreath on the "Welcome To Dead House" episode from the "Goosebumps" tv show.
