During our recent trip to Collingwood we had the opportunity to partake in a few craft beers. You might not know this but Collingwood has an amazing selection of Craft Breweries, Cidery’s and Wineries. Our type of vacation spot. And lets not forget the scenery, great people and restaurants. We had the opportunity to spend a week in the area in November and now I want to give you a bit of insight into what we saw, what we did and maybe give you an urge to go visit.
I am starting the Collingwood Series and will share all of the wonderful places we had a chance to visit and experience. Travel Tuesdays is Back starting with this small town in Ontario
First up is Northwinds Brewery
We bellied up to the bar and enjoyed a flight of craft beers, we were not daring enough to try the skate of beers which actually is a skate board of craft beer tastings.
We asked the server to surprise us with a selection of beers. We started with Moonlit. I think this one was my favourite but keep in mind I am not an IPA gal, so hoppy does not make me happy, What did surprise me was my new found interest in dark lagers, not something I was really willing to try in the past.
We went twice to Northwinds, once just for drinks after an amazing dinner at Pie and then for drinks and Taco night. That was a great experience.
I was amazed at the store, the amazing selection of Touques, the variety of beer, truly a fun experience for those who love to shop, eat and/or drink. If you are in Collingwood this is a must try. Heck why not head to Collingwood and check it out.
