OOTD for Shamrock Day and A Labour of Fashion

getting my green on for St Patricks Day plus my Dream jeans

I feel like I should be shouting April Fools not Happy St Patrick’s Day.  March 15th Mother Nature decided the green needed to be accented with a lot of white. Never fear the Shamrock will prevail. Its a week of green and a celebration of our heritage.

St Patricks Celebrations

Traditionally,I would have spent this week celebrating, wearing green every day and creating Irish themed posts. Sadly, this week has been a sickie week. Consequently, that illness has kept me home from work  plus my blog mojo was low.  Just to provide clarity, my blog ootd mojo was at a low.  Pajamas have been the outfit of choice since Saturday. Today,I vowed I would shower and get dressed in an attempt to beat the bug.  Tell me, if a cold is all in your head is it really a cold.

Green for St patricks day

Today I got showered,  I even got dressed and guess what, still feeling the cold.  On a serious note I did feel better getting cleaned up and dressed if only for a short time. Acting the  fool in my yard while sick, all in the name of blogging. And…. did ya hear about the storm?  Feeling very happy I am not elsewhere based on the weather reports but we still got hammered. Kent had to go out through the garage as there was a two foot drift in front of the door.  Looks like Ms Winter is not prepared to leave quite yet.

OOTD

Went with my favourite Haggar Dream Jeans today, comfort and style.  Paired with a Michael Kors Kelly Green sweater and a cami.  Basic uniform but great for a day at home. It would not be a Linda outfit without a piece of jewellery though. The addition of  my pearl necklace from 7 Charming sisters completed the look. This piece is no longer available but the Silver Pearl Collar is an amazing substitute.  Kept my sketchers on for warmth but I added a few fun accents to celebrate the season.

7 Charming Sisters

Have I mentioned my love of 7 Charming Sisters?  I am pretty sure I have shared all of my fabulous finds but its the company itself that is pretty cool.  They have  created a series of seven different lines of jewelry, each catering to different tastes and occasions. No matter who you are or where the day takes you, 7 Charming Sisters has something perfect for your unique style. I can confidently state I have sampled from each of the various lines and I love it all. It probably will not surprise you that as a result of my love of statement pieces I  have partnered with 7 Charming Sisters as a Brand Ambassador.  As a result I am so excited to provide you with an amazing discount code labo20. a 20% discount on all non clearance items.

A Labour of Life

  • I hope your better soon Linda, and that cold disperses along with the snow so you can enjoy your celebrations

  • You are too adorable! I am loving all the green. And I do hope you are back to 100% soon. We got completely hammered by the snow storm and we were not supposed to! It must have pushed north unexpectedly onto us. I am looking forward to sending the kids back to school today and getting out of the house myself! Happy St. Patty’s Day!
