Loving Life after 50

#LetsgoRama, #Letsgomaple or Maybe Let’s Go Back

lets go to casino rama

If you have been following me then you know I have taken two amazing trips to Casino Rama.  One last August for the Let’s Go Rama Blog Conference and then again in March for Let’s Go Maple. Well, I realized with all the posts about the food and the events I never ever shared how amazing the rooms were. Let’s Go Back and enjoy the Casino Rama.

After a full day exploring the Great Indoors, unwind and stay the night in their luxury all-suite hotel. The colour scheme and decor are inspired by the classic Muskoka lakeside cottage. Time to enjoy comfort, service and some northern hospitality.

The Casino Rama has 289 All suite rooms, and trust me they are SWEET. Each of the  Deluxe Suites at the Casino are  spacious and equipped with plush, comfortable bedding. There is a choice of two double or one king-sized bed in each suite.  The Deluxe Suite combines the bedroom with a full living area, 42″  flat-screen television, additional seating and a gas fireplace to enjoy.  A colour scheme of soft muted tones creates a relaxing vibe as soon as you step into the room.

As a special bonus WiFi is included.  I am not sure about you but having wifi at no additional cost is a selling feature for me.  I mean really who travels now and doesn’t want access to the internet. The internet service is great, no timing out and no slow connection.

Photo credit for this one is Sober Julie as I could not find one of mine that included the fireplace.

Then we step into the water closet ( I just love calling it that, sounds so much batter than Bathroom or wash room). A modern four-piece bathroom featuring all marble floors and countertops. An amazing full shower with great water pressure.

Video Tour

I created a facebook Live tour of the Deluxe Suite, so you can take a full tour in the comfort of your own home. What’s better than a two dimensional picture well a full blown three d tour.

True confession, my stay at the Resort was one of my fav vacations ( both times).  Special care and full attention to detail from all of the staff was beyond compare. Having a sitting area to relax and unwind after a day of conference, or a day of outdoor activities was fully appreciated.  Taking a few minutes of me time in front of the fireplace, curled up on the couch helped rejuvenate me.  In addition, the spa is also available to assist with that activity but it is nice to take a few solo minutes

Decadent treats were served to go along with the plush bedding. I was living the dream of what it must feel like to be a high roller.

When booking a hotel  for a quick getaway, this is your spot. Casino Rama is less than two hours from Toronto it’s the perfect overnight getaway. Located five hours from Ottawa makes it a weekend getaway.  Proper timing will allow you to take in an amazing show at the amazing 5000 seat Theatre.  It seems that Santana is booked for August 6th and Kiss for August 18. How amazing would those shows be? I have seen both perform at Bluesfest but how amazing would front row seats be for a full Santana show. This is my idea of a perfect weekend. Full listing of all the Summer Acts is up and available.

I was provided with a room during my stay but all opinions are those of A Labour of Life and me personally.
