Loving Life after 50

A Labour of Fashion in Eshakti

It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for A Labour of Fashion. Thursday is my fun day of the blog week where I just hope and wait for everyone to link up.  I love checking out what everyone is wearing don’t you? Witty stories are not required, fancy recipes not needed, just a gal, an outfit and readers. Time to check out what you decided to wear today.

Week

This has been a crazy week, went to Toronto for the weekend and then back and all of a sudden it’s Thursday. Normally that would be a positive except that I am having a party for Kent on Saturday. Again that is normally a great thing because I love parties and planning but total oops to me, I have not been planning.  Think I can do this, pull off a party in two days?  Damn straight I can, may mean no reading, no blogging and possibly no sleeping but we will do this.

I have set my expectations high sadly, last year was the Tragically Hip Party and a few years before that his Rock and Roll Event. No pressure right?   Stay tuned I am sure I should have a few blog worthy posts out of it.  On a serious note, its a smaller event but best of all I did manage to get two of his very best friends to book a trip here. Small and intimate is this years theme.

OOTD Eshakti

Outfit wise I am not sure if this was a pass or fail.  I love all of these pieces individually but really not sure about together. And did ya notice only a few pictures for me, I just wasn’t happy with most of the pics. Morals of the story, balloony tops are not good with flowy skirts when you are chesty. Makes one feel possibly way out of proportion.  The top was a lovely find at H&M from what I call their Festival line and the colour went well with the skirt.  This was an Eskati, made for me skirt with ” pockets”.  Total win on that front.  I love the Shoe Dazzle Kitten heels too. For the official record this is a first and last for this combo. I will wear each piece again for sure just not as a package deal.  In the meantime forget about me, What are you wearing?????
