A Heavenly Find from Angel Jackets

Winter has arrived, at least on the calendar, just kidding it is here in full force. The frigid temperatures and white stuff on the ground has me thinking cozy sweaters and leather jackets. And yes hats and mitts and puffer coats too. But spring is just around the corner and my fab jacket just arrived from Angel Jackets and I can’t wait to share.

Winter has always been heavy coats and boots but for inside, tossing on a leather jacket to ward off the chill in my world. But let’s be honest leather jackets can transition to any season you want, if done right. And if you work with Angel Jackets I guarantee it will be ” done right”.

Adding a heavier sweater under my motto has often taken me well into the winter months, using it as a throw over my shoulder has also allowed some summer wear. Leather is in itself season’less. My Quest for a Leather Jacket

I couldn’t agree more with their concept, a leather jacket is a staple. If you have been here for a bit you know that I can toss a leather jacket over anything to make a statement, and yes that includes a tulle skirt. There is just something about adding the perfect motto jacket to whatever you are wearing to make the look just pop.

I can hear your thoughts already, is it really age appropriate? bahhhhhh, have you ever, ever known me to be age focused or let society try to dictate my style! Age appropriate and clothes are words that should never ever be spoken together in the negative at least. Never let a fear of what society may think stop you from being YOU.

1. Modern and stylish- a leather jacket is the perfect alternative to a classic blazer. It gives a slightly edgy look to your outfit
2. Versatile- Leather Jackets can be worn with anything, and trust me I have worn mine with tulle, lace, denim.
3. Comfort- a leather jacket when made well can be the most comfortable piece in your wardrobe.
4. Transition- The perfect transition piece- a leather jacket can actually be worn in any season
5. Classic and timeless- the perfect jacket will never go out of style

How to Style a Leather Jacket Over 60 or younger

Focusing on how to actually wear a leather jacket over 60, because hey that’s where I sit now. I am about to hit 61 and it actually feels fine ( except for this cold that is knocking me on my knees lol)

The first and most important aspect is to stay in your comfort zone when pairing the perfect leather jacket. Leather and mini’s may have been my staple 30 years ago but today I work with my wardrobe. Thrown on over a great sweater dress or tunic, paired with a great pair of denims, or heck go with leather on leather if it feels right to you.
