I truly do not know where the days are going. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was creating a Labour of Fashion 196 and now a whole week has flown by. I mean I have celebrated Thanksgiving, a visit with Nicholas, a job promotion and 8 posts. Plus I have taken three blog courses and started a new email campaign all while working full time. Well damn, not sure about you but I am officially exhausted now. On a positive note I unpacked my Buffalo Plaid pants and Leopard Booties.
Life on Fast Forward
So just like all my favourite TV series that open with a bang and then flash back 7 days, let’s do that. So big news first, I got a new job and it’s a promotion. So super excited about the new opportunities coming my way. It is a new position created in our organization, I think of it as a mash up of the job I did while replacing my boss and my old job. What it does mean is more time at home and less trips to the North, so good think I saw the Aurora Borealis last trip.
Also Thanksgiving and a visit with Nic, woo hoo. An awesome turkey dinner, visits with family, hot tubbing, margaritas and of course a visit to Lone Star. Thanksgiving is always made better when the kids or at least one of the kids comes to town. How did you celebrate? On top of an amazing dinner we also had Turtle Cheesecake, Homemade Key Line Pie and Pumpkin Pie with pumpkin whip cream. Mouth watering yet? I promise to share the recipes soon.
On the blog front, I joined SemRush, had a blog review and ordered Ultimate Bundle. And big news other than all the posts and a few courses I joined Second Street for my email service. Composed my Welcome email and created my first Newsletter. Fingers crossed my every so small subscriber lists at leasts stays the same.
Today’s Buffalo Plaid Look
One of the greatest things about seasonal changeover is rediscovering your wardrobe. I almost forgot about the Buffalo Plaid pants I got from Old Navy last year. They were a huge hit during the Christmas Holidays but I aim this year to just make them a big hit always. Paired with leopard booties and a black moto I am office ready with flair. How fun is the Gingham Trench to really up the pattern mix. Target is my bestie when it comes to Gingham.
