The day has arrived, I cannot believe 200 weeks have passed since I started A Labour of Fashion. 200 weeks seems like a crazy commitment but it still seems like yesterday. I also cannot believe that the 200th anniversary of A Labour of Fashion is upon me and I am still no further ahead in figuring out how to mark the occasion. Chalk that up to a preoccupation with Halloween, a costume and too much chocolate.
Halloween in the Office
Straying from the normal topic of conversation on Thursdays although Halloween Fashion is fun in any form right?, Today lets talk Office. Does your office participate in Halloween or did they? This year my section rocked. We had only five show up not in costume. Plus one had meetings all day so he had an excuse. I was so proud of the team spirit that we had.
We may have gone a bit over the top and paraded through the building. Oh heck its Halloween and time for a little fun right? I think we motivated a few floors to try harder next year. Our Admin Staff killed it this year, they sent an announcement out three weeks ago with a Theme, 2018 was a Cartoon year so everyone was encouraged to figure out a costume that fit. I went with Belatrix, not cartoon but certainly fiction.
Costumes of Choice for Halloween
We hit it all I think. Two Minnie Mouse choices each with a unique twist. Tinker Bell, Alice, even Bullwinkle. Rosie the Riveter was competing with Wonder Woman for Super powers today.
I find it so fascinating to see what people pick. Are you going with a hidden desire, a louder version of you or the unexpected? Is a traditional costume your choice or something unusual. Homemade or store bought? There are so many ideas, so many choices. I seriously spent hours on youtube looking for ideas but ran out of time. I selected Bellatrix because I had already been Hermione in the past.
Our stellar group of Admins. They have lead the charge on Halloween fun the last few years. The costumes get better every year.
and when you work for a Union who is the real Super Woman?
Bellatrix and Me
I had fun playing bad today. I was a little sad that I did not have the right wig for Bellatrix but I still think it worked. Now you have seen it all Linda as a Blonde, a Red Head and now a Brunette.
and then after 10 hours in wig and costume, I am back.
