Air Fryer Taco Chicken Wings

Chicken wings done in the air fryer are so quick and easy. And so much less mess than the traditional wings in the oven. Toss the wings in the fryer, add the seasoning and press the button. Seriously it is as easy as that.

Interesting tip, make sure the wings are not just thawed but room temperature. Allows them to cook evenly.

Time to “Air Fry” the Wings

Wings in the air fryer are so quick and easy. But as I said before make sure the wings are not cold nor frozen. It makes for a much better experience.

  1. Pre-heat air fryer to 390 degrees.
  2. Take the chicken wings out of the refrigerator and let them reach room temperature.
  3. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  4. Coat with melted butter. If you prefer a more “healthy” wing, you can swap the butter for 0 calorie cooking spray.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Place on air frying rack and air fry for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from air fryer and lightly coat with more butter & then sprinkle with taco seasoning to your liking.
  8. Place back in air fryer for 5 minutes or until wings reach your desired crispy-ness.

  • If you have a smaller air fryer, you may need to cook the wings in batches.
  • add your favorite seasonings to the wings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • If you want to make buffalo wings instead of taco, toss the cooked wings with your favorite hot sauce and butter sauce.
  • Serve the wings immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
