Mini Oreo Cheesecake is In the continuation of what I like to call “As seen on Facebook” recipe collection today we have another treat. Kent is a huge fan of Cheesecake as I mentioned previously. When I saw this simple and easy recipe for a dessert with a cookie base, well it had to be saved. (and tried)
Before we start discussing the recipe can I talk about the influence of Facebook. I, well Kent and I both actually are addicted to cool recipes we find on social media. My go to is Facebook.
Saving the videos we see, re-watching them later to see how easy something may be to make. I feel like I could have an entire blog dedicated to As seen on Facebook. Just like the Pinterest blog where you get shown is this really as asy as it seems.
For this scrumptious recipe, it is exactly as easy as it seems. Very little muss and fuss
Cheesecake and Oreo CookiesJump to the recipe
I am a lover of Oreo’s but truth be told I never thought about using them as a cheesecake base. It is genius actually, little to no mess, individual desserts and not overly sweet.
OK the cookies are totally sweet but when added to the cheesecake they were perfect. I am believing this is the next best Oreo use after the Truffles. Am I right? Mini Oreo Cheesecake almost bite size, the grab and go dessert.
We were having Company over and this seemed the perfect time to test it out. Yes I often use my guests as guinea pigs for my new recipes and new baking attempts. Most people prefer to bake in private, perfect the recipe and then serve it to guests. Not this gal. I like to bake sweets when company is around so it all gets eaten and not left behind.
Now this recipe actually does not require you make a cookie crust for the base. You actually just use an as is oreo cookie. Don’t take the middle out, use the whole cookie as is. It creates the perfect base for this mini dessert.
Mini Oreo Cheesecakes with Hot Fudge
The Oreo cheesecake dessert is the perfect summertime treat. Served individually guests can help themselves to one or two (or three). Unlike cupcakes and muffins the liners do not get discoloured so they still look pretty. I did find them a tad difficult to remove from the liner but a little care and attention solves that. Serve on their own or with a dollop of whip cream.
Your guests or just you will love this tasty little cakes.
