No Regrets and that is such a fib. Last Thursday I skipped the A Labour of Fashion Link up. 271 weeks in a row, I have never missed posting until last week. I pre-scheduled during vacations, I pushed through stressful work periods and even when sick. Lord I still posted when I was having major blog issues. But Wednesday night I just didn’t have the will nor the want to create the post. And I am still feeling guilty.
I am feeling guilty enough that I am still thinking of posting the link up today. yes I may suffer from mild OCD. I am forcing myself not to act too much out of blog character. Honestly you cannot post a Thursday link up on Monday right? Flashing back today to an outfit I never shared last fall. Sadly this Reversible Banana Republic Cape is being used today. We hit another cold snap. Sunny but really chilly.
Banana Republic Reversible Cape
I cannot believe I have never shared this cape on the blog. I found it on our weekend away trip to the Poconos last October. I mean it’s not a trip to the Poconos if you don’t hit up the outlet stores in Tannersville right. I actually found this reversible Cape at Banana Republic along with this Michael Kors dress.
Two great pieces that I wore all winter but never really shared on the blog. How does that happen I ask? I think over the past year I have posted less outfit looks but still took pictures every day. Never one to not want to dress up, I figured having a backlog of outfit looks would be a great idea.
Guess what, sure is helping now during this time of self isolation and social distancing. In case I stay in workout wear I still have a few bits of outfit looks stashed away.
Shop this Fun Look
Something else I haven’t tried in months is a quick this is how to copy my look.
Spring Styles Not Yet
So True Confession time, I am so jealous of Southern Girls and their spring looks. I have transitioned my wardrobe, so I am ready. The wetaher however is not cooperating. I also cannot go shopping and on line isn’t giving my the instant gratification I crave. Plus without knowing how long quarantine will last there is not much point in ordering yet.
Trust me at home style and work style are still different. I do not wear sweats and pajamas but I also am not wearing suits. Basement style is not uite office style. Am I alone here?
Today as a case in point, LBD with leggings and boots and a fun topper. No white jeans and little lemon ops because it is in the minus degrees today.
So I have to ask, anyone else not truly enjoying weekends anymore? Now don’t get me wrong I still savour days off but and its a big but, it is not the same. Seriously the weekend does not feel like the true break from work anymore. That could be the weather too but I just want a real break.
I want that awesome feeling back that it is Friday and we have two days off. I want to savour the relaxing feeling of Saturday shopping and Sunday brunch. I want to run to the store quickly for snacks or browse the dollar store for cool craft ideas. I went to search for Rae Dunn at Homesense or find a craft idea at Michaels.
But I am not prepared to take a chance so I will still stay in my house and just whine a little bit. Whining is OK sometimes right? Happy Monday folks and let’s enjoy the week.
