For our 2015 Open House we decided to create some extra room and moved the bar area into the Laundry Room, genius right??? The washer and dryer allow ample table space for all the glassware and to be frank we are normally the only ones that see this area ( so why waste valuable real estate in your Kitchen). We always serve our guests ( plus it helps us maintain some knowledge of consumption)
Aren’t the beer glasses adorable, I found these stickers at the Dollarama and thought they would be a perfect way to assist people in keeping track of their glass ( plus very festive) For the wine glasses I prefer the wine writers pens that allow us to personalize each glass.
I then set up a coffee and hot chocolate bar in the kitchen, allowing free access to everyone, and as an addition I provided water and cute milk jar glasses for those looking to have a quick drink.
A festive mug tree was located between the coffee and hot chocolate bars for easy access to all.
My new Keurig 2.0 was perfect ( thanks Infleunster.ca), everyone was able to have what ever hot drink they preferred, coffee ( real or decaf), tea, flavoured coffees, lattes, cappuccinos or my fav the new peppermint mocha latte
My hot chocolate jars I made myself in 2014 (here), they are so festive and inviting to those who want to indulge in a hot drink.
Do you create non traditional bars in your home over the holidays?
