Welcome back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Now that I have finally gotten organized enough to share I am anxious and in a hurry to do so. Originally I had thought of a weekly series but instead I think I am going to share daily. You can read them all at once or just pin them all for later. I mean honestly, it’s just like when the books were coming out, who wanted to wait for the next chapter right? Today I am focusing on the Universal Studio side of the park. Let’s explore a few cool sites you don’t want to miss before heading to Diagon Alley and Gringott’s.
1) The Fountain from the Ministry of Magic
As you meander past Men in Black and head to the London Streets you need to take a moment and check out the fountain. It’s the fountain from The Ministry of Magic. Take a moment and really look at the fountain. Just like Harry and the crew you might be surprised by what you find.
2 12 Grimmauld Place and Kreacher
Look to your right those homes are not just for show. It is actually Grimmauld place. If you walk up and down the street and look at just the right moment you will see Kreacher looking out. I swear he is still waiting for Harry, Ron and Hermione to get home.
3 The Knights Bus
If we are wondering the streets of London looking for Harry and Diagon Alley , why wouldn’t we be looking for the Knight’s Bus. You cannot get on but you can meet Stan and Dre-Head. Be careful what you ask you might not hear what you want. The head really does talk and the conductor fully stays in character.
4 Call the Ministry of Magic
The London Phone Box is not just an Instagram shot waiting to happen, you can actually call the Ministry of Magic. If you dial 62442 (MAGIC) in the phone booth outside King’s Cross, it will connect you to the Ministry of Magic. Try it a few times, the messaging is different.
5 Kings Cross
Take your time as you are going through. I have been twice to the Universal side and I have yet to see every thing. Did you know at King’s Cross Station, there’s a perfume ad that resembles the one Harry and Dumbledore stand by in Half-Blood Prince. I have missed that twice already. Hoping to really catch a few more tidbits in May when I go back.
Be aware of your surroundings
Even walking through both train stations I am always amazed at the detail. Everything from spotting Harry’s luggage to minute detailing on the walls. Always be watchful and see what secrets you can reveal.
Discover the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
As a very serious Harry Fan I thought I would try and gather all of the awesomeness together. Check back frequeently as I explore more of what the Park has to offer.
