190 weeks ago I started a little Fashion link up.  I struggled with should I, what should I call it and yes even creating an awful “button” for people to use.  Fast forward to today and we don’t even use those buttons anymore. Anyone else struggle to create a button and learn some coding?  A Labour of Fashion was born out of a desire to see what you were wearing, a chance to have you visit, drop a link and for me to come visit.  Sorry I have been such a slacker on the comments and visits lately.  I do still love having you link up though.

A Google Ceiling

190 weeks, close to four years and I feel no smarter about blogging today then I did then.  Maybe ignorance is bliss, not realizing what I didn’t know seemed better.  OK, totally not really as I have loved all the learning I just wish I could break a few of the google ceilings.  Lord love us breaking the glass ceiling was a lot less complicated than the google one.

The google ceiling is what I call SEO and page views.  There has to be a means and a way but the real success is not found in books, it’s found with grit , determination and a whole lot of hard work.

A Labour of Fashion 190

Keeping it brief today because I have a movie date. Mission Impossible is calling my name

Today’s A Labour of Fashion look is thanks to Michael Kors.  A fun linen shirt dress, classic style, classic colour. I paired the dress with a funky necklace and some fun wedge sandals from Giant Tiger.  A rope wedge with a snakeskin pattern, not a look we see every day right. What are you wearing today?

    Hi Linda,
I totally get you on the Google Ceiling. I am coming up on two years of this blogging thing. It started as such a fun, creative outlet, but then I started learning about all the things I needed to do! Yikes. SEO. Keywords. Strategy. The learning curve is HUGE and I learn new things every day. I enjoy that part and “meeting” all the like-minded ladies–like you–but it is a LOT of work. Your determination at four years is helping me to keep at it, so thanks.

Love the simple linen dress outfit. Perfect for this time of year.

    xx Darlene

I used to use blogger button all the time. Now I don’t because my Blog wants to be weird when it comes to codes. You can never go wrong with a simple dress.

Loving the Michael Kors safari-style dress—it’s such a classic! And yes, blogging is a lot of work, but very rewarding if you ask me! Way to stick with it!

Have fun at the movie! Great utility dress on you Linda! I love the neutral stylings with your snakeskin sandals, they look great! I have become a big fan of linen, having bought a few dresses this year, they go keep you cooler!

Yes, blogging is so much work! It is still something I enjoy doing, though. Keep at it, Linda!

You look great in this linen dress – so very summer chic.

It does take a lot of hard work and grit to stick with blogging. I really don’t know if people realize how much work it really takes to blog! I love how you are sticking with it. I also like your linen dress and your sandals. Thanks for the linkup.

There’s too much going on with blogging and it’s definitely overwhelming but for what it is worth, the people I have through this platform is a blessing. Not only do we share something in common but you all understand what it’s like. Love your linen dress from MK. The color is a nice neutral and the material is the best for this heat! I hope you enjoyed the movie and let me know if it’s worth watching. I don’t watch a lot of tv but will make an exception if it’s worth it. Happy Thursday!
