I am back from Alabama and Tennessee and I have to say the white stuff on the ground may make pretty pictures but I prefer the sounds and temps of the South. I really believe I have southern in my blood
I truly had a wonderful vacation but I am happy to be home. We may have partied and enjoyed the hospitality of the South a little too much. December 28th our first day in Birmingham was gorgeous. The temperature was perfect strolling weather. We started our day off at the Summit, a stunning shopping center quite close to the hotel. Strangely I didn’t shop as crazy as normal, maybe because of the fact we ere on a plane but I did find a few great shops I will share with you soon. Have Y’all shopped at Lizard Thicket? My oh my, my new favourite store. I could have spent a fortune but I limited myself to a beautiful blanket scarf and a vest. I love both, so very jealous that the store is not available in Canada but like Target I will remain the ever frequent visitor from out of town.
We also took in the Civil Rights Walk and of course Fanfest and Uptown Birmingham. For today though I think I will stick with I had a wonderful time, am very tired and I am excited to get back to a normal blogging routine.
