It’s a Black Tie Affair, or rather a Black Tie Sweater. That’s right folks I am all in black just like Johnny Cash. And can I just say it ” I hear the train a coming it’s rolling round the bend . And I ain’t seen the sunshine since I don’t know when”. Honestly another grey day in “O” Town. OK Not really a grey day cuz it’s actually my B Day, yep you got it. It’s my Birthday how awesome is that. So to celebrate let;s hit up Target with a gift card.
Black Tie Sweater
This is the perfect sweater for the weather we have been having. Warm, cozy and aren’t the tie details on the arms and neck perfect. This was yet another find from Atlanta.( I could not find this for you but there is an amazing spring version now on line) It pairs perfectly with the leather leggings and leopard boots right?
I opted for simplicity and just added my black tassel earrings. Sadly the last time I will wear them as one broke and the threads went everywhere.
Are you a sweater and leggings kind of gal? I swear this is my weekend uniform with an occasional wear to work too.
There is something about the pieces together that are event friendly. Wear to almost any event and you feel like you fit in. It’s like the Goldylocks story, not too casual, not too dressy, just right. It is baby Bear perfect.
So on to a more serious topic, I am on the last stages of my tooth implant. It’s not been a bad road at all. Intense pain at the beginning only because of the infection. I fretted over having it pulled because I was afraid it would be seen. Eight months later I realized it is rarely noticed. Actually never noticed except by me. Do you see the little spot in my smile? That is my titanium post glowing through. Next week they will place the tooth over the post and then I am back to normal
I cannot stress it enough, do not let the infection linger nor delay a procedure. It is not worth the pain.
Two weeks into my get my life back on track. I have to say I am feeling really good and learning to embrace new foods into my routine. Hardboiled eggs and avocado’s have become my best friend, low in carbs and full of protein. I am now down three lbs and it was not a painful process at all. Just a few ( or lots) more to go.
Did you catch the awesome new chicken dish Kent made me? Healthy and delicious. I loved the Parmesan coating. It gave a fresh new flavour to a traditional dish.
Tonight I also stepped back on the treadmill. Don’t get to excited it’s a walk not a run but hey I did it. And guess what I feel really good about it. This is the start of a new year and a new me or maybe the old me. I am excited to go back to the Doctor and see if the changes are fixing my sugars and enzymes.
So one question breakfast ideas, any low carb/no carb suggestions? I am pretty sure I should be alternating and not eating eggs every day. I don’t want to get tired of the same foods so looking for suggestions. PS no fruit nor smoothie suggestions please, really trying to watch my sugars.
