I cannot believe I have not yet shared my Boney Bunch Halloween Table. These little guys have been in my life for several years but normally they are playing on the Buffet or Mantle, often featured in my living room. Today they are setting the stage for my Haloween Table.
Also shocking my Halloween table has been set for weeks yet I have been ever slack in my blog posting. Well not really I have been task driven on the back end and all my Halloween fun has been stockpiled for this week. Stay tuned for Mantles, Bar Carts and many fun activities.

Boney Bunch Boo’s Brothers Halloween
In case you are not a Yankee Candle Fan, ( OMG is that even possible), The Boney Bunch are all various candle holders. I picked up the Guitar Player and the Lead Singer when we were in Virginia about 10 years ago. That was my first time visitng the Yankee Candle Flagship store, and boy was that an experience, but a story for another day. Back to the Boney Boys. I picked up the two but left the Drummer behind. Something I have regretted ever since. They have various collections but the Band was my favourite.
Funny story, in 2010 when I found the main pieces, there were three, drummer, lead singer and Guitar. Well I did not realize they were called The Rolling Bones. A three piece wedding band created to play at Boney Tony’s Wedding. Well how crazy being the Rolling Stones fans we are.
In later years I found the Piano Player and then even a three wick holder that had a drummer, sax player and Claranet called the Boo’s Brothers but still not as great as the full drum kit. I found it once on E-Bay but they wanted a crazy prize so it was a no-go. If you ever see the Drummer, grab it please, it really would complete my set.
My Rolling Bones Table
This year I decided the Rolling Bones would make a perfect table centrepiece, although I thought they were the Boo’s Brothers oops. Regardless of the Band name they were my Halloween Inspiration. I started with the basics what table cloth could I use. Realizing too late I gave away my Orange Table cloth and my Halloween one was too busy, I went with a pink/peach base., plus that was in line with Pink for October. I pulled out my Buffalo Check table runner I found at Hobby Lobby last year and I had my base.
Adding my Rolling Bones and Boo’s Brothers pieces I started working on the actual place settings. I find my best planning is start with the colour, add a base centrepiece and then the place settings. I fill in with the additional centrepieces later. It is like a pianting for me, sometimes it takes time to create the art.
Halloween Place Setting
Orange, black and purple was my Halloween colour scheme for 2020. Starting with my Orange Chargers, they seemed to set the perfect stage. I then opted to use my black dinnerware set. Often I mix up the plates, bowls and dessert plates but today we went solid black. I have linked up some similar plates for you but I actually found mine at Value Village several years ago
I added a buffalo plaid napkin between the plates. I know where is the fun napkin fold. Today I wanted to showcase the place cards so a simple napkin worked. Sometimes less is actually more.
For the place cards I went with a fun creation. I had purchased the mini plaid pumpkins at Hobby Lobby last year so they formed the base of my witch face. Last year I had ordered mini brooms and witch hats but they did not arrive in time. So imagine my surprise when I opened my Halloween bins and found new treats. Adding the hats and Brooms to the pumpkins created a fun witch, forming the base for the name cards.
Over the years I have gotten rid of coloured flatware, so today I used my silverware, often with a fancier table I dig out my Nana’s flatware.
Additional Table Accents
For glassware, I obviously always add wine glasses because that is how I roll. Even when someone is younger or not a wine drinker because I will use them for water glasses. Everyone feeling included. In 2019, I added Halloween tape to the wine goblets for this year I left them plain. I did however find the most perfect Halloween Wine Goblets at Dollar Tree ( Dollar General is you are in the US. and only 1.25 Canadian each woohoo)
I also added my Cooper Tumblers for water glasses this time. They suited the table and I had not used them yet. Mine were purchased from an actual CooperHouse Restaurant in Yellowknife but there are plain ones available on line. Have you ever used Cooper for drinking? My goodness they keep your water cold.
Found some Similar Glassware
I did find some similar available on Amazon in case your Dollar Tree is out of stock, I know I went back and they only had two wine glasses left so yes I did grab them.
Centrepiece for Rolling Bones Table
One of the simpliest centre arrangement I think I have done. Or should I say one of the least cluttered and low ( meaning not high and blacking the guests.) A few simple crystal candlestick holders with striped tapers seemed enough. I mean all the Boys are candle holders so no shortage of light. Mine are flameless and I found them at Micheals years ago.
I then added some fun wooden coffins and fake candycorn. Salt and Pepper shakers are another addiction I inheirted from my Nana. I have several of her collection and then I am a big fan of Cracker Barrell and their seasonal selection. Yet another store I can no longer visit ( one day). My eyeballs and pumpkins were from the Cracker Barrell but I have linked a few similar onnes for you below.
The completed table for 2020
It is always the small touches that make the most impact for me . An eyeball staring up at you, a skeleton hand around your goblet, even the mini coffins. All provide a festive touch to your table that will have all your guests smiling. OH WAIT, did I say guests. Maybe not this year. For now my table is shared here and on my socials that is it. I am thinking of moving my skeleton in from the porch as an extra guest. Is your table set? Do you have plans where you are?
We are back on restrictions and no trick or treating. And to really add to the frustration we wok up to flurries, this is going to be a long winter. On a positive note lots of added time for this gal to decorate.
