Canadian Tablescape for #CanadaProud

We all know how much I love my tablescapes and here’s a surprise, I love them just as much outside.  I will use any excuse to set a decorative table and Canada Day is no exception.

Showing my #canadianpride comes easy and being able to turn my outdoor table and yard into a sea of red and white, well why not? I have thought back and tried to remember where this fascination came from but the exact moment eludes me, I just know I love tables and fancy settings.  Those I know are no longer surprised I think now they just wait and see what the next holiday brings.  I have found that pieces can be changed easily to represent a new occasion.  Look at my Red and White place setting, well with a small switch out I bet you will see this on July 4th, looking the same yet totally different….

I found these dishes at the Canadian Superstore a few years ago and they are perfect, classic set yet a lovely splash of colour to brighten up your yard on even the most normal of occasion.

A few Canadian Flags, a red bucket with red and white checked napkins and the table starts to take shape.  I alternated the red and white dishes for a bigger impact and even picked up a few plastic patriotic tumblers for added emphasis ( plus no glass in the back yard).

Do you go all out for special occasions? Are you the person in the neighbourhood or your family always going the extra mile to make an event even more special?  I like to think I am that person, the one that when you get invited over you say yes if for no other reason then to see what I might have come up with next.
