Celebrating New Years Eve can sometimes be a daunting issue right, where to go, what to do, how to dress hmmm do you have any of those worries?? Every year it pops into my head, what should we do? The last few years have been simple to plan, pick a College Bowl Game that is near NYE, head to that city and celebrate. Last year we were in Charlotte and had the chance to dress up in sparklies and head to a roof top party, the year before in Memphis well that was an outfoor celebration. This year we are in Nashville and it is another out door celebration so 2016 will need to be indoors right? Hey San Diego got a game for me because I was thing of checking out the Grand New Years Eve Celebration at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, I am thinking the Poinsettia Bowl is pretty close to the right time frame so it just may work.
Check this place out, isn’t it beautiful? and considering Kent and I are already fans of the Fairmonts in Canada, maybe we should branch out and use this as an excuse to celebrate NYE in California?
So how does one dress for a party in San Diego, is it a sparkle town? I know the weather is pretty near perfect all year round so I can go with a fun dress. I am betting that sequins would be perfectly acceptable but I honestly am torn, do I go the converse and pillbox purse route, or two tone pumps and envelope clutch?? I know most would vote on the pumps route but picture how comfy converse would be….
I found this dress at Charlotte Russe last year, planned on wearing it for NYE and ended up with a whole different look but I am really thinking converse could be a trend ( maybe I should get the glitter ones though) and for the record, I just may have spent the morning of Christmas Eve trying on outfits for New Years cuz I was packing for our vacation but what is totally cool is the temps were so warm i was actually standing outside on December 24th totally warm in this dress ( and a few others)
So I am good with the dress but realistically I am thinking I may wear it with my leather leggings and booties ( I felt a little drafty on the stairs and my modesty may have come roaring through.
What are your plans for New Years Eve??
