We love wine, really, really love wine and I collect the corks. I like to make things from the corks, which then provides the perfect excuse to keep drinking wine because hey you need corks. Twisted logic but it seems to work for me. This is my awesome cork collector, and this week I realized I had filled and emptied this baby a few times ( ok lots of times) since my last cork crafting session.
Wine Cork Crafting
Last night the forecast was for torrential downpours yet again, so no pool time but I thought maybe a little crafting. I also took advantage of the fact that it had not yet started raining to complete a few tasks better performed outside ( spraying any form of paint in the house is a no-no for me, my eye hand coordination could cause other things to change colour)
Searched my crafting area for some picture frames and found these, yea I know can you say dated…. or Vintage, take your pick, so picture frames, chalkboard paint and wine corks…. I thnk I have a plan.
Creating Fun Wine Crafts with three simple items
1) Have Wine Corks 2) Have chalk paint from Krylon 3)have picture frames
Make sure you take the spray painting outside if at all possible, less chance of additional mess. Chalkboard paint is so easy to work with… lord when Carly was still a baby ( OK maybe a preteen) I painted a whole wall of her bedroom with chalkpaint. and that was a day or two ago ( or possibly 12 years ago OMG) Ignore the moronic looking face, just wanted to show you that you do not need a craft room when nature is beckoning. Then we move on to wine corks and Glue guns. Take your picture frame and start covering it with corks, there is no required pattern, just what ever feels good to you. I used a staggered approach for this one and a more linear approach with the second one ( plus I then included some ” Bubbly” corks, which made me realize wow we like our bubbly don’t we….
Wine Corks and Chalk Boards
There you have it two simple wall hangings for inside or outside, I think these babies will go outside for the summer and we will change the messages continually I am sure. Chalk paint, washes right off so it is simple to change the words to whatever reflects your mood. I went with ” Larmond Estates” as we have bottled our own house wine for a few years now and we label it ” Larmond Estates”. If you are a fan of winealign it may even pop up. ( an awesome website to keep track of your wine cellar, you are welcome)

Hey there would you mind letting me know which webhost you're working
with? I've loaded your blog in 3 different internet browsers and
I must say this blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good web hosting provider at a fair price?
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
