Happy Christmas Break. I hope all of you had the most amazing holiday break. I cannot believe it is already December 27th, even bigger the “I can’t believe it” that I have not blogged since Friday. I am not sure when the last time was that I did not even pre-plan a post for four days. We had a hectic but amazing holiday. Christmas Day was a weird weather day, sun was shining for a bit and then I stepped outside for a few pictures. Red Tulle Skirt in the snow, why not?

Christmas Snow Squall
It was crazy I stepped outside and as soon as I set the camera up the wind picked up and I was in the midst of a snow squall. It was whipping and swirling all around and then just as suddenly it stopped. The wind died down, the sun came out and all of a sudden the composition of the pictures totally changed. I guess this gives true meaning to you live in Canada give the weather a minute and it will change. There are many cities here that the weather is so drastic it can feel like we experience all four seasons in one day. This was not one of those days though, it never once felt like summer lol.
Christmas Day and a Red Tulle Skirt
We had eleven for Christmas Dinner. Such an amazing time when friends and family can get together. Kent did the full dinner, brined turkey, homemade stuffing and all the fixings. I made all the sweets and our guests brought Apple and Pumpkin Pies and a new one “Crack Pie”. It was pretty scrumptious and I am going to need to find the recipe and try that one.
Outfit wise I shockingly did not wear my Santa Skirt but opted for the Red Tulle I have not worn since Valentines Day. I love the look of Red Tulle against freshly fallen snow. Today I paired it with a Christmas Sweater (from H&M) and a fun necklace from 7 Charming Sisters. The shoes are from the Winery in Penticton Ruby Blues.
Annual Christmas Photo
And it can’t officially be Christmas without the fireplace picture. Kent and I have taken a Christmas picture together every year since moving into this house. One year we opted for in front of the tree but all others have been here, Kent did mention as the years go by and the knees are working less efficiently we may need to find a new spot.

Linda, I love this red tulle skirt! I just added a midi length red pleated skirt to my wardrobe. I haven’t worn it yet, but I can’t wait to style it. As you know, I am quite familiar with lake effect snow squalls! In fact, we were supposed to head back to Watertown from Pennsylvania today, but we can’t get through the massive snow band that is currently hanging over the Tug Hill region (dumping 6 feet of snow on them according to the weather channel). So we are staying in PA for another day. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I am wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year!
