I am a Converse Gal, if you know me you know that. My collection is not insignificant and I am not embarrassed by that, or not totally. While in Virginia I went shoe shopping. I have been on the hunt for new converse with zippers because mine are getting dingy. Its been a long futile hunt because it appears they are an elusive beast. Well, I was shopping and fell in love with the classic Adidas. And then I spotted the Adidas with Rose Gold Stripes and well I adopted them.
Classic Sneaker and a Dress
The look of a fun classic sneaker with a dress has always stirred a warm feeling in me. Thankfully I adore the look because I have a bad habit of twisting my ankle or breaking my toes. Sneakers need to be a staple when you are a careless fashionista.
Converse have been my go to but this Classic Adidas is truly the bomb. Reminiscent of a shoe I wore years ago, everything old is new again. Are you a sneaker with a dress gal or is that far too casual a style?
Old Navy Tee Dress
Let’s discuss the dress, its like a t-shirt so again ok with sneakers right? The material is actually fleece, more of a sweat shirt so very comfortable. The addition of a fun stripe and a tie up neckline makes it fashionable and comfortable.
Topped off with a cropped denim Jacket I am ready for early Spring weather. Only problem with that, it’s late spring, darn it.
Summer and the Pool
Let’s go off fashion topics for a minute. Did you see my Instagram stories on the pool? This year we uncovered the pool and the water level had dropped over a foot. This in a year where everyone had to drain their pools because of too much snow and rain, we had no water. Plus a buckled lining, because the water was behind the lining.( see behind me in the pictures, yuck)
I was practically crying, no pool for swimming, a big “liner bill” and the angst of waiting for delivery and installation. Luckily our pool guy thinks we can find the leak and fix it. So fill it up, clean it and start diving. That is our task for the next few weeks.
Happily the pool is full and finally clean so diving is on the agenda as we monitor the level. I am going to try the food colouring in the water trick to see if it works. They say if we add food coloring to the water we can track where the leak is. I figure it is worth the attempt. Stay tune for the outcome.
