Ottawa puts on an amazing Craft Beer Festival every year and this year we finally were able to attend.
( and my last hurrah prior to the massive infection that affected my life for the next few weeks).Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for the festival but as much as it was overcast on the Sunday that we attended, the weather was warm enough and the rain did hold off so we were able to have an enjoyable day,

Nah, these two do not like craft beer at all,

The price was $20.00 per person for the entry fee and then for $5.00 we each received a craft beer glass ( plastic so we are able to use these poolside, the gift that keeps on giving)

Shocktop always a crowd favourite had a lovely display and we were able to sample the Rasberry and Lemon,  Orange is still my favourite. For those maybe not as familiar, they hail from St Louis MO, it is a traditional Belgian-Style Wheat Ale originally created as a seasonal brew.

Not sure he likes this one.

Steam whistle, hailing from Toronto has a unique history and an amazing facility,  if you ever get to Toronto they have built their facilities at the Old Train Yard, preserving all of the historical aspects yet creating an unique center.

Big Rig, an Ottawa fav, created by one of our Senators ( hockey not political). This beer is hand crafted in small batches using traditional methods,  personally I feel in love with the Raspberry, which is surprising because I am usually not a fan of anything raspberry ( except the jam).

The Republican House Brewery, hailing from Peterborough, this brewery currently produces six distinct craft beers, some year round and some seasonally.

Next stop for us was Nickel Brook where I decided to try the Green Apple, well not a great fan of Cidar this was probably not a great choice for me.  I need to learn to stick to flavours I now and love.

Covered Bridge from Stittsville Ontario has seven unique beers on tap and available in growlers.

The uber friendly crew from Spearhead, pushing their new Session Ale, a collaboration with Sam Roberts Band

Cassel Brewery is a homegrown Brewery located here in Ottawa. They have six selections plus the Railway special

Flying Monkeys, a fun brewery were they truly believe weird is normal.

Scattered throughout the grounds were great Adirondack chairs encouraging everyone to sit and enjoy the day

and enjoy we did………( at least till I started getting unwell)

There were many I did not get to sample but I did still enjoy visiting with each `Crafter`

Collective Arts is a cool concept, they are a supporter of the arts and encourage Artists and musicians to submit their work, and select several a year to be published on their bottles.

We truly had a wonderful day and I am looking forward to repeating the experience next year, just not with the same ending..
