Happy Easter Everyone, good gosh today is Easter Sunday and I am just sharing a new tablescape. I have been slack on sharing but not on creating, this is table number two. This one, I adore my Aqua Easter Table with Bunnies. We settled on this one for our Easter Dinner but I will still share my green plaid edition.
It’s finally spring again. The weather is warming up, the sun is shining except when it is raining lol. The Easter Bunny is hopping towards our home. Easter is an inherently cheerful time of year. Pastel colors seem to be everywhere, flowers are in full bloom, After the long winter months, especially this winter Easter is really a breath of fresh air.

Easter Table in Aqua
Easter and Spring such a great excuse to fill your house with pastels, I found this beautiful tablecloth a few years ago at Homesense as well as the matching napkins. It has served me well creating unusual Thanksgiving and Christmas tables, and maybe even a bit of a Frozen Theme once.
Today I thought we could all use a bit of pretty pastel to brighten our spirits and create a fun Easter scape. And for total fun I just may have found a few new Rae Dunn Pieces. I have to admit I am green with envy at all that awesome Rae Dunn coming out this year. The border remaining closed has restricted my Dunn Hunt. We are slowly getting new pieces in stock, but the lockdown sure has but a crimp in the inventory at stores.
Some Bunnies Ready For Easter
Today’s tablescape is not surprising, pastels, bunnies and eggs. I mean can it be Easter without all of those? Over the years I have collected a few fun Bunnies and created many a table. 2021 my Rae Dunn plates have again made a fun appearance. My Rae Dunn collection has exploded so now her mugs pop up at every holiday. This year the Centerpiece is new.
I happened to find a few fun Carrot pics at Michael’s this year. The one week we were not in lockdown so I could hit a store. Adding them to my antique bud vases seemed a perfect addition . Pastel mixed with a traditional carrot orange makes the table pop. Wine bottle candles and a set of traditional candleholders and white candles.
The Creation of an Easter Table
I have said it before byut yes, my tables always start with a fun tablecloth. Each year I try and find a new colour or pattern that will inspire me. For 2021 I brought out the aqua beauty from Homesense . Next up selecting a charger and then the plate setting.
Sticking with an aqua theme I dug out a matching charger and then added a large stonewear plate. Creating a solid base for my fun Rae Dunn Melamine plates, Anyone else use Chargers? I have them in almost every colour. Dual purpose, really make a table setting stand out and helps keep the tablecloth clean. Another fun accent for me, knife rests.
Today I used some fun carrots I had in my Easter Inventory. I have been known to use wine corks, mini toys, anything that provides a surface to rest the knife on. I thought the carrots were a fun choice this year.
Napkin Fold and Accessories
My napkin fold was a pretty basic one this year. And one I will re-create shortly in a new post for year. Showcasing my silverware and not creating a distraction from the bunny overload. Adding in Wine glasses and bunny place cards seemed to complete the table perfectly. Except I just had to add mini chocolate bunnies as a special treat for my non-guests. Sorry dinner plans got changed so there was just two of us in the end.
I did add my beautiful Bunny Butter dish and total forgot my salt and pepper shakers OOPs. My covid brain really set in, ho does one forget salt and pepper when you have a large collection. No matter we managed with a last minute addition for the actual dinner. (I should add we had dinner on Saturday so we could have an outdoor visit with the kids and take them left overs)
Did you get fancy this year? Able to celebrate with family or on your own/ Share your Easter so I can live vicariously through you this year please.
