I am back at it again, yes a Napkin folding marathon. Well hold on to your hats because I have a few more seasonal folds for you. I have created a step by step tutorial and a you-tube video all to help you discover the secrets behind the fold. Today I will be sharing the Christmas Elf hat Napkin, and I have also completed the Christmas Tree. I shared the Christmas Elf shoe already
Create an Elf Hat Napkin
During my marathon I created a Hat, a shoe and a tree. How fun does that all sound? Today I am sharing the hat which matched so well with the Christmas Elf Shoe. The Elf Hat Napkin is not too difficult, All you really need to do is fold and roll and it is perfection. I am thinking of alternating the Tree, the shoe and the hat on my place settings for a real punch.
One recommendation for the hat is a firmer napkin, or should I say thicker. I think a heavier napkin would hold the shape well. Plus it would then support a little pompom on top. OMG how cute would that be.
How can you create this Fold for Christmas
I have created a step by step tutorial as well as a you tube how too. I know how crazy is that but I really love my napkin creations. You tube has not been kind to me lately for allowing me to embed the video so I have added a shortcut to The Christmas Elf Hat Tutorial.
Step by step instructions for the Napkin Fold
- fold napkin in half
- hold top center
- grab left corner and start rolling the napkin
- once all rolled
- fold up pointed ends to create the brim of the hat
- set upright
Do you change your table? Are you a season embracer? I love changing my table regularly. Every Season I seem to gravitate towards a colour palette. The Elf Hat Napkin is well suited to the very traditional Red and green theme. However I do believe this fold is suited to different themes. Imagine a pastel hat or even a vibrant jewel tone. Each embellished with ribbons lace and pompoms.
