5 Summer Staples Over 50 was created as a result of my Summer wardrobe and repeat wearings. Discovering the items I cannot live without, what about you, makes one stop and think doesn’t it? For me it should come as no surprise that Sun dresses and Converse top the list. Do you have a must have list for Summer?

My Five Summer Must Haves for Women over 50:
Scrolling through the blog there is no question I have a look, that statement which tells you it’s me. It has to start with the converse and sun dresses but one cannot stop there. I tend to lean towards a same look and no, for once I am not talking stripe pants, that’s more Spring or Festivals.
I could easily determine the five pieces I need in my summer wardrobe. So I present 5 Summer Staples for Over 50:
- Converse in every colour I can find
- Summer weight pant (maybe striped, totally lied up above of course they are a staple.)
- white skirt– I mean how can one live without a white skirt
- Black loose cami
- Linen sundress
If you search through each years Summer posts trust me you will see a Theme. Do you have a Theme or a must have item you need?
Sundress and Converse
The look today I wear a lot. This linen sundress from Old Navy has been around and honestly IRL I wear it a lot. It’s the piece I grab when I run to the store, or hang in the yard or even wear to work when I am rushed. It works with sandals and pumps and of course the converse. I have tossed a cardigan over it or a blazer. Bonus of course it’s lined and has pockets,
I have taken it to Penticton, Miami, and every cruise I have been on. (And also why I included a summer dress in my 10 Pieces Every Woman over 50 needs)

I have some monogrammed white converse, but I don’t have any in a fun color like that yellow! That blue/white dress is so cute with the yellow Converse. I have so much white/blue striped dresses, tops, etc. I should get some yellow shoes! 🙂

what a pretty dress! I love blue and white for summer, just so classic. This dress is lovely on you and love the touch of fun with your yellow converse. I finally got a pair this year. leather converse in white. I need to take them out and style them on the blog. I hear you about the linen dress. I bought 3 of them this year and when the days are very hot, they help keep you cool!
