Happy Thursday Folks, little bit sad because our little Sea Bass is heading back home just as I am about to start on my #FordSummer Adventures. We had such a great visit with Seb and Carly. Wish we lived closer so we could spend more time together. Short visits are better than no visits right?
We had a great few days together and I cannot believe how much Seb has grown up. Talking , crawling and of course a lot of drooling. At nine months he is such a delight to be around. It has also been great to spend time with Carly.
Back in my world, Ford Canada has provided me with a Ford Focus Titanium for the week. Cannot wait to start enjoying my #fordsummer. Stay tuned for my adventures. Thought today we would explore a bit about my Ford and a bit about Bluesfest plus the ever present Thursday Link Up.
#Ford Summer Adventures
Nothing says summer like sitting under the stars on a sultry July evening listening to your favorite artist. Or spending quality, uninterrupted time on the open road with the windows rolled down as you belt out “Life is a Highway”. Ford of Canada offered me a chance to do both! And now you can follow me on my #FordSummer Adventures.
Ottawa is hosting one of the largest international music festivals in the world when Bluesfest July 6 – 16. I know I have talked about it in the past, normally as a volunteer but not this year. This year I am back to enjoying the music. This year’s line-up includes over 200 artists including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Gary Clark Jr, Tegan and Sara, Sam Roberts Band and Pink to name just a few.
To help me “On the Road to Bluesfest”, Ford of Canada invited me to experience the style, comfort and technology of the Ford Focus, one of Ford’s best-selling vehicles. The 2017 Ford Focus Titanium offers intuitive technology including SYNC®3 that allows drivers to interact through voice control or with a tap on your touch screen. With SYNC®3 you can ask your car for restaurant suggestions – and you can bring your smartphone experience into the vehicle with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to make calls, get directions and – access your Bluesfest playlists!
My Bluesfest Playlist
Kent and I created a playlist together to help get on the Road to Bluesfest. As Bluesfest lasts ten days it seemed only fitting to select ten songs for our playlist. One showcase artist each day, who would you pick?
1 Brother Down by Sam Roberts
2 Bring me Some Water by Melissa Ethbridge
3 Walking with a Ghost by Teaghan and Sara
4 Waterfall, Pink
5 Guns & Ammunition, July Talk
6 Bright Lights, Gary Clark Jr
7 Powerful Stuff by the Fabulous Thunderbirds
8 Heavy, The Glorious Sons
9 Uprising, Muse
10 Running Down a Dream, Tom Petty
Check it out and tell me what you think, and of note I have featured four Canadian Artists, can you tell me who they are?
As you know I am off for the summer but I had to go pick up the car and then we went adventuring so any excuse to get a tad dressed up. Nothing too fancy just not poolside attire. I thought my anchor shorts and a gingham cami would be appropriate, and I threw my linen blazer over top. All my pieces are from Old Navy. Sperry shoes and a fun necklace completed the ensemble.
