Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Canada, and for those of you who have until November never too early to start planning right? Do you love the celebration but hate the chaos? Do you long for the days that someone else prepared and you got to sit at the table and enjoy? Well let’s talk turkey and figure out how to get the fun back in the day
Thanksgiving Planning
Between planning the dinner and organizing the table and figuring out who is coming and when the day can loose a bit of the ” Thankful” feeling. I truly am very lucky Kent takes care of all the cooking so I just have to think about table and guests.
I realize not everyone is as lucky as I am so I thought I might help you out a bit. Do you ever get to the grocery store and totally forget what you need for the special dinner? or maybe you are in the middle of dinner prep and realize you have no flour for the gravy ( and the store is closed). Well I created a handy dandy little shopping list for you. The basics for a perfect Thanksgiving dinner.
Now feel free to scratch out the veggies you do not like. Personally I am a squash gal but Kent hates it, so hence the requirement for three veggies, His, Mine and Ours. I also stuck to Apple and Pumpkin but maybe you like Sugar Pie or Pecan Pie, the point is at least with Pie on the list you will also remember whip cream adnd ice-cream.
Happy Shopping and a Printable for Thanksgiving
So take a deep breath, print off the list and head to the grocery store before it gets crazy. Ever notice the day before the store is going to be closed for ONE day everyone shops like it’s the end of the world? It’s one day but most people seem to act as if it will never re-open.
