True confession after a day spent snow shoeing, snow tubing and on a Fat Bike plus three huge meals I am tired. I am full of amazing food and really tired after an amazing sports day. There was Fun in the Snow for everyone. Before I forget today is March 8th so Happy International Woman’s Day. ( fitting day to celebrate my snow activity and how empowered I am feeling)
This was the first time I have ever been on snowshoes. Dispelling totally the rumour about Canadian Gals and snow right. It was a bit shocking how much I loved this activity. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Snowshoeing is one of those activities I figured would be so difficult that I would not enjoy myself. The Horseshoe Resort has amazing trails and even more amazing staff. The guys walked us around ensuring that we were all very comfortable kept us at a good pace.
I will be sharing more about the amazing activities and how the day went but in true Life and STYLE fashion I wanted to share the look as well.
Outfit
It was a gorgeous day, we expected rain but instead just got some drizzle. Grey skies but warm temperatures making it almost to warm for coats. I opted to leave the ski pants at home and wore my wetskins ( a very smart move). The addition of my Sketchers and a warm turtleneck and I was snow ready. My Columbia was perfect, kept me warm and dry and when i wanted to take it off…. it is very lightweight.
Snow tubing followed
tried to test out the kid size Snowmobiles
and then coolest of all was the fat bikes. I loved this once I got the darn thing out of first gear
Ironically I could not wear any of my necklaces ( no surprise) but I did order some awesome earrings from 7 Charming sisters and that helped me feel slightly dressed up, These Seeing is Believing Earrings were perfect, light and comfortable and oh so pretty
