Not only is the world crazy so is the weather. Not that I am complaining about the weather, not at all. On March 16th, I went uber casual in my grey velvet jeans and look at that background! The ground was covered in snow, there were still snow banks and I was freezing. Today I went walking in a light jacket and the snow was gone.
Joe Fresh Grey Velvet Jeans and Office Work
Please tell me I was not the only one struggling with work at home style. I confess today I am in a better grove but at the beginning, nope, wasn’t into it at all. Knowing II should have embraced the casual vibe and savoured the moment. Alas, I think I was still mourning the fact I would not be leaving my house so what was the point.
Staring at the jewelry and the shoes and thinking why bother. Grabbing leggings and sweaters and staying in slippers. I only started working at home on the 19th so this was one of my last at work casual styles. I still wore the jewelry but stayed casual as there was only two of us in the office. The next week well I didn’t even take outfit pictures so you can imagine lol.
The 16th was a stormy day but I went with the grey velvet jeans and a fun tweed sweater. Feeling Casually stylish, my new catch phrase. I have gotten my grove back and hopefully will start sharing my cool new work style.
What are you wearing to Work?
What is your new work style? Are you leggings and joggers or still rocking the full on office suit? I am always curious about what people revert to in times like this. I will not revert to joggers, they are too forgiving. A few days of food slips and the joggers keep your secret. Now jeans, dress pants and even leggings will tell your secret to the world.
Hey guys look who just gained three pounds from eating chips, they yell. Jeans are your frenemy, they will not keep your secret but they will keep you on track. Trust me keep the real athletic wear in the closet until you are actually on the threadmill.
My Grey Velvet Jeans Look
It is a total grey on grey look. Normally I am not all about monochromatic grey but against the snow I am liking it. The Vanheusen grey tweed cardi is the perfect addition. My grey velvet jeans paired with a basic black tee and fun loafers.

I love your velvet jeans, it’s such a gorgeous, soft fabric. I’m guilty of wearing tracksuit pants a bit too much lately so I’m trying to make more of an effort now, otherwise it’s a slippery slope! Thanks for linking up!

Super cute velvet jeans, Linda! I have definitely been struggling with getting dressed. I didn’t even put on a bra today! But in my defense it is super cold and rainy with snow moving here!
