Happy Birthday Ada

Happy Monday Folks,  While I am still on vacay I could not let the day pass without a Happy Birthday shout out. My blogger Bud Ada over at Elegance and Mommyhood is celebrating. I am vacation but I still had to join her birthday celebration as I do each year.  This one is a tad different as past years we have celebrated in Birthday Dresses.  2019 is the year of Red and Pink for Ada, starting a new Birthday Tradition.

“Spring time in Ottawa has been crazy, the snow has stayed far to long, the rains have not stopped and the temperatures well crazy cool.  For Ada’s birthday celebration I thought I would try a transitional Nautical look.  Springtime with a side of winter.  The perfect red and blue striped pant topped with a fun nautical blazer and cami.  Two tone vans top off the look. To really pull in the theme yet stay true to the weather a fun red coat from Old Navy lined with a blue and white stripes.

Ada’s Birthday Look

I went for these Black Leather Leggings that fit me perfectly and my 3/4-Sleeve Bright Red Sweater by Halogen (both of these pieces are from Nordstrom; I have had them for close to two years). The Neon Yellow Suede Nine West Pumps and Soft-as-Butter Marigold Leather Bow Clutch are both gifts to myself for my birthday this year (they were purchased on great sale at Macy’s). Yellows and Mustards are huge in 2019 and yellow happens to be one of my most favorite colors and of course red is my absolute favorite color. I love mustard+ketchup additions to black which is always slimming, sexy, edgy and beautiful. My Pom Pom Statement Earrings by Sugarfix via BaubleBar, two Coral+Gold Stretchy Beaded Bracelets and my Bright Perfect Shade of Red Audacious Nars Red Lipstick (my favorite red lipstick hands down – and I own about 10 red lipsticks) completed this Edgy and Elegant Look. By the way I am wearing the Annabella shade.
