Happy Monday and if you are one of the lucky ones, this is a day off. It’s Family day in many provinces in Canada, a day to stay home and do fun activities with your family. I actually don’t have “Family Day” off officially but I did take the day.
It was an absolute stunning weather weekend, the temperature was warm, the sun was shining and we, meaning Kent, got the deck shoveled off and I spent time tin the hot tub. This is how much snow we received while we were away…. awful ton of snow.
So were you following the #thefierce50? An absolute amazing movement 50 women over the age of 50 showing that life is not over, we celebrated all of this on the 50th day of the year. 2017 a year of empowerment to show that we the end of the boomer generation are still a force to be reckoned with. 50 sure doesn’t look like it use to and that is illustrated so clearly when you see the 50 Fierce Gals in my new tribe.
So all that happened this weekend plus we had company over for an amazing dinner, and another excuse to create a perfect table and more napkin folds. I promise I will be sharing those with you soon. I called it my “Pal”entine table sharing dinner with friends.
On another front best news for the boys, they were nominated in the Thunder Bay Arts and Heritage Award for music and won, such amazing news for them. I really believe 2017 will be their year. Don’t they clean up nice…….
Opted for a casual look for the dinner party, something that would be comfortable so that to me usually means a tunic and leggings and a great necklace. And isn’t the necklace amazing? Its from @7charmingsisters, Thick as Thieves, light as a feather but a real statement. I also rediscovered my Giant Tiger Boots, which I think gave the outfit a funky vibe. I am wearing my Svelte leather leggings, look great and make you feel even greater.
