Let’s do an age/generation test? Anyone even know what I am talking about with Harper Valley PTA? I know I am really revealing that I am no millennial with that statement. OK don’t be mean I realize that wasn’t your first clue that I was past the millennial stage.
Harper Valley PTA
Harper Valley PTA is a 1978 American comedy film inspired by the popular 1968 country song “Harper Valley PTA” written by Tom T. Hall and performed by country singer Jeannie C. Riley. The film starred Barbara Eden, Nanette Fabray, Ronny Cox, Louis Nye and Susan Swift, directed by Richard Bennett, and primarily released to drive-in theaters throughout the summer of 1978.
Stella Johnson (Barbara Eden) a widowed cosmetics salesperson with a young daughter, whose joie de vivre, her principles, and her individuality anger most of the powerful people in town and on the Parent Teachers Association board. She inevitably becomes PTA president after embarrassing Flora, the snobby former President and her equally snobby friends.
A fun movie inspired by a song, and what’s the point you are all wondering right? Well today I am wearing my striped Harper Pants.
Colorescience 3-1 Eye Treatment
Going to digress slightly here and mention the new Colorescience 3-1 eye treatment I was sent. I am a brand Ambassador for Colorescience and I swear by their products. Honestly they have uncomplicated my travel life. I pack in a small bag my makeup staples and I am good to go. No more agonizing over what will I need.
This 3-1 eye treatment was a special surprise. It was sent to me to test out in advance of the February release. I am hooked. Funny story though when I first received it I had no clue as to how to use it. I twisted, I turned, I shook but never did i think to pump oops. I was using it as a cooling tool on my eye the first week.
The Total Eye™ 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy with SPF 35 will visibly improve the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles while protecting the delicate eye area against photoaging with 100% SPF 35 mineral sunscreen. One more addition to my must packs while traveling. Speaking of traveling, I am still in Vegas so hopefully you have been watching my Gram and stories to follow along.
Outfit I am not wearing today
So back to the outfit I am not wearing today in Vegas let’s discuss. My Harper Pants are another fav in my closet, I love the various ways I have styled them over the past two years. (here, here and here plus more). Today I have paired my pants with a great sweater from Banana Republic and my leather moto. Booties from Forever 21 complete the look.
