I sure don’t know where the time went, one moment it was 3:00 in the morning on the 6th and I was taking outfit selfies before heading to the airport and the next moment it is the 14th and I am home to two more feet of snow.
I must be one crazy blogger chic, outside at 3:00 A.M. taking outfit pictures before we went to the airport but good thing or I may not have anything to blog about today… OK totally kidding, not about the outfit shoot that did happen at 3:00. I am kidding that I would not have anything to blog about because hello I just got back from Cancun, seriously just posting about the food on the resort would take a week or so. I did have an amazing vacation and I cannot wait to share it all with you, may take some time to edit ( well actually just resize and/or crop) all the pictures.
Traveling at 6:00 A.M. is sort of the worst but sort of the best at the same time. You have to be up at 3:00 which really no sane person ever voluntarily decides to get up at 3:00, unless maybe you are a farmer or have a new baby. The bonus is you arrive nice and early and have an extra day on the resort but you are also totally pooped and end up in bed at 9ish. We had an amazing seven night, eight day vacation at the fabulous Dreams Sands Resort and Spa. Meet fantastic people I hope we stay in touch with and get to visit again.
Travel wise I wanted to be warm enough for Canada, comfortable enough on the plane and not to warm when we arrive… no small feat. The obvious choice were my Haggar Dream Jeans, my go to always and this time I wore a cardi from Old Navy and that amazing blazer I ordered (also Old Navy). Its a fleece material so stretchy, warm and wrinkle free. Footwear was a no brainer with my Toms. They just came out with a new decontructed Alpargatas. I was lucky enough to receive a hot of the press pair in the new pink suede. They really are the perfect warm weather shoe but hey they didn’t do so bad in a bit of snow and cold either.
and to show how perfectly suited they were for better temperatures I continued my journey straight through to Mexico for you.
excuse the wet hair, we didn’t get the hospitality room on time and basically had twenty minutes to switch from swimsuits and cover ups to travel worthy attire on Monday. We luckily had the whole extra day on the beach but our shuttle arrived at 5:50 P.M. and the hospitality room was not ready till 5:25 opps.I also may have looked a little wrinkled but landing at 1:30 a.m. I figured no-one was going to look to closely. Shoes sure helped up well though right. They are pretty amazing, a cushioned insole make them perfect for travel. And as they say “Take laid back to the next level with this Deconstructed Alpargata. The washed canvas, minimalist structure and espadrille sole make these the ultimate casual slip-on.”
