The dress that almost wasn’t, or actually the dress I agonized over buying. Do you ever do that see a dress, don’t buy it and then think about it constantly? Ok yes we all do that but then do you ever go back and get it and then never wear it? I watched this Floral Embroidered Dress at H&M all summer (2017), finally bought it and then never wore it till now. Honestly how crazy is that?
Embroidered Dress and an Impulse Buy
I am totally kidding you, not that I never wore this but that it was an impulse. Months spent agonizing over the purchase of this dress last summer, so crazy. This embroidered floral dress sold out everywhere last year. And then I found it, hanging on a rack at Place D’Orleans and I never picked it up. Agonizing over the fact that it was $99.00 and I wasn’t sure where I would actually wear it. It did not seem suitable for work but maybe a wedding.
I finally broke down and decided to get the dress and it was on sale, what a friggin deal. 35.00 and yet it hung unloved in my closet.
H&M Embroidered Floral Dress
Fast forward to 2018, end of summer and a wedding. Facing an I have nothing to wear moment I spotted the dress hanging. The perfect aha moment, finally. I pulled it out, tried it on and darn it way to big. What to do. A few quick snipes with scissors and ties and then underslip worked. And then a strategically placed safety pin gathered the folds perfectly and I was ready to go.
The necklace from 7 Charming Sisters seemed to work well and then I added a fun pair of purple metallic heels I found at Marshalls.
Let’s Enjoy the Wedding
And seriously did you expect me to not share just a little piece of the wedding with you? Plus you get to see the dress in action. True confession it was hot as heck so the hair had to go up and the shoes may have come off.
Ashley one of my dear co-workers married the love of her life. Wishing she and Jodie the best of all there is to come
