H&M Floral Sundress and Analytics?

Happy slow start to a Monday and a new work week. Well truth be told not a slow start except for on the blog front. Slowly getting back into work mode after a great weekend break and I thought I would share some real life frustrations (blog). OK not a real fun topic to start the week but is there vere a good time? For anyone not caring about the four letter word ” B.L.O.G” the cute dress is my H&M Floral Sundress I adore.

Analytics and Blog Talk

So let’s talk real talk for a few minutes. My blog has taken a huge hit that it has not recovered from. Comparing m,y analytics from May to July this year vs last year really sucks. If you recall my blog went kaput in may because it was too big. And by too big I mean to much data not too much traffic.

My traffic literally is one third of what it was then. Now before I hear the, summer slump and google algorithms suggestions, lets say NOPE. My socials have continued growing, my content is the same or even better. Truth be told vere since I switched to wordpress in 2017 I feel like I have stagnated.

Is it the niche? Do I diversify, narrow the scope? I am not sure what the answer is but man it is frustrating. Good lord even my Thursday link up has slumped.

Anyone else feeling the pangs?

Comparing Me to You

So let’s talk more smack and good/bad advice. If I am not supposed to compare myself to anyone else how do I get better? Now I get the we are all individual and should only compare ourselves to well ourselves but dang that is tough. Can you do it honestly? can you tell me that you don’t compare yourself to the person that started the same time or even later? Do you not look at other blogs and wonder why them not me? Well if you do I am darn proud of you.

I compare, all the time. Now that does not mean I resent you, or are jealous. Heck I am so uber proud of what you have accomplished but dang it all I do want to see some rewards as well. Is that wrong?

Truth be told my Instagram and Pinterest are doing me real proud. For that I am grateful because that is keeping my hope alive. But and it is a big but, I own this blog and I am proud of it. And like any proud Momma, I want her to see her moment in the sun as well.

OK no more smack talk I just needed to vent just a little this fine Monday Morning/ or afternoon.

H&M Floral Sundress

Flashing back to last Fridays look because for some reason I am now operating a week behind schedule. Honestly how does a gal who blogs daily about her look fall a week behind? I guess because I often wear more than one look a day and possibly dress up on the weekends. One of life’s ironies, I started as a daily style blogger, ok I still post daily but often the look is a few days behind.

It is a summer look so hello one more point for me and the weather is still sunny so what the hey….

I adore this sundress, found it at H&M last year and it is another of my repeats. H&M and Floral Sundresses are a thing with me, remember the black floral? But for today its the white one. Last time it showed up on the blog I wore my lemon shoes, today its a pretty pair of blush sandals.( A Shoe Dazzle find) and my yellow Yosa necklace.
