It’s Monday, it’s snowy and well it’s almost the end of January. Well that’s a profound statement isn’t it? Starting my week with a bang. A celebration of patterns to be precise. Embracing the weather in HM Patterned Sweater and Leggings.
Colour, pattern, texture all great ways of bringing a smile to your face. A lifting the mood hack when the weather is not cooperating. Today I am actually bringing you a straight up outfit post. A discussion of what I am wearing and why. I am pretty sure that is a first in a long time.
HM Patterned Leggings
Lets talk leggings for just a moment shall we? Y’all know they are a winter staple for this gal. Leggings add an added measure of warmth. I know tights and nylons look sleeker but hey it is cold out. Tunics, leggings and boots my winter uniform, also my Travel Uniform.
So these leggings, spotted at H&M I fell for them. No surprise to those who know me though. What was surprising, I saw them and I almost purchased them and then I stopped myself. Did I really need more leggings or actually even more clothes. FYI these were hard to find on line so head to the store if you need to own them. Crazy at $14.99 why wasn’t I snapping them up.
Well right beside the leggings the sweater that I needed with them.
H&M Jacquard Sweater
Let’s discuss the sweater, simply stunning. A full of life, warm as can be blanket of a sweater. But El cheapo here didn’t want to pay 50.00. So I left them behind. Went back the next week and still was captivated but I resisted. Honestly I have so much did I need more, would it make me happy?
Two days later I am sitting at home and an H&M email came in featuring this look. Well darn it all. FYI I had searched on line and could not actually find the look earlier, it was a sign. Don’t ya think? A sign telling me you need this in your life.
In the cart they went, along with a dress of the same pattern and black leather leggings. Yeah I know I didn’t want to buy a 50.00 sweater but I would spend 160.00 on four pieces. FACEPALM, this is me.
AS a bonus I have tagged the sweater and leggings (similar) without an affiliate link for you just in case you need these too. If you do tag me in your gram so I can see your look.
The Boots from Shoe Dazzle
Is the outfit complete without the boots? What kind of Boot does an outfit of HM Patterned sweater and leggings call for? I debated an ankle boot or OTK for this looks debut. Kent and I both liked this look best. Ankle boots were cute but gave a lot more bold pattern. Maybe next time. These babies are from Shoe Dazzle and no longer available. Don’t dispair, Shoe Dazzle has a ton of great similar looks.
The tie up OTK boot always gives me a boho feel. A great durable boot that is very comfortable. And FYI I just got them back from the shoe maker. They needed new heels, so with a 20.00 investment the boots are like new again. Do you care for your footwearm get new heels and soles or do you toss them? I do not spend a lot on each pair because I own too many but I do take care of them.
Tailors and shoe makers, my best friends for maintaining the pieces I love.

Super cute look. I also have a hard time spending 50 dollars on a sweater.
