Monday started as a good day, traveled to Edmonton, upgraded my flight and hair was totally cooperating and then I got off the plane, and received a phone call… My Nana, who I actually talked about in a post I created yesterday,(my table setting for easter)  fell asleep and never woke up.  My heart is breaking, not for her, as she is in a far better place but for those of us left behind. She has left a hole in my heart. Kind of feels wrong to have an outfit post but then again if nan thought we were not continuing business as usual well she wouldn’t be impressed.  We will celebrate her life in a small private ceremony later this week.  for now RIP Nana, you will be missed

My regular outfit posts will resume tomorrow but for tonight I  just don’t have the heart….

I am the first grandchild, the one that has been around over 52 years, holy crap…. Being the first means I got to enjoy something no-one else did, I had them to myself for 22 months, before Andrea came along and then Casey and Paula and then a break before Paul, Andrew, Leah, Jane and Timothy entered the picture.. I was the ONLY for a period of time.  Fast forward to High School and along came my other only,  I moved in with my grandparents when I was 15.  No, not for a bad reason,   my family moved to Saudi Arabia and because schooling on the compound only went to grade 9, I stayed behind with Nana and Papa.  I lived with them through High School and University so I guess I was also like the second daughter.

Through all of this I had a very special relationship with both my grandparents and now they are both gone, hopefully together somewhere great with my Dad.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your family.
