Been a few days and although I am still not home I just had to share my awesome experience today. We left Memphis this morning at 6:30 in the freezing rain, I have to tell you Memphisites ( not sure what do you call someone from Memphis…) anyway, I have to tell you, the weather was a little shocking this week. I had no idea that you experienced winter to the extent I saw this week, it was dang cold so more power to you for all your outdoor fashion shoots.Back to my day though, quite the drive from Memphis, today we made it as far as Columbus but we did have a little stop along the way, Jim Beam and all his friends called our name and we had to stop. Took a slight detour off the I 65 and had an awesome tasting and tour ( well an awesome tasting for Kent, I am still not a heavy bourbon drinker, but I will keep trying)
If you get a chance you must stop in, it is an amazing Facility.
Jim Beam Distillery
I truly had no idea that Jim Beam had so many different bourbons and it was a blast trying a few ( and honestly the Ghost and the Cherry were not bad at all. Spent a few dollars ( slight under exaggeration here) in the gift shop and the home bar will now be an awesome advertising masterpiece for all things Bourbon.
This wonderful distillery experience made up slightly for the bad weather we experienced for the 12 hours we drove today. Plus I am sorry and I hope I do not insult anyone to badly but this was not a storm and there really is not a lot of snow here but I guess for Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio this does seem like a lot, or at least based on the cautious drivers we kept meeting on the road, it appeared this snow thing was a bit of an anomaly oh yea and all the dire warnings on all radio stations.
I promise I am on my way back home and my outfit posts will resume for all those who love seeing clothes, clothes and more clothes. Plus we are stopping at the Premium Outlets in Waterloo so I should have a few new things to style.
Another awesome FYI, I get to check 4 more states off my bucket list, Tenn, Kentucky, Ohio and Mississippi, plus a College Bowl game. yea for me.
