The first time I flew to Cuba with my girlfriends I filled half of my suitcase with books, I am not kidding you I counted eight novels, I sure planned on doing a lot of reading. I was the girl growing up that was always reading, my grammie got me hooked on Harlequins at twelve. Reading was everything, on a car trip if it was sunny I would read, if it was dark I would sleep ( obviously that would change today because I have a Kobo Vox that allows me to read in the dark).
Seriously isn’t this how everyone spends their days in the sun???
That trip I swear I had a book in my hand constantly ( and I cannot believe I am showing this one but hey let’s keep it real right?) Man a book, a cigarette, sun, sand and drinks, living the high life. I did actually have a great trip not that you can tell in this picture ( and kids again do not try this at home, smoking is bad for you and I am nine years as a non)
Books were my go to, the escape from everything and sometime over the years I forgot the pleasure I could find in these books. When I rediscovered my love for reading, Kent bought me my Kobo and bang I was back on track. The best thing about my e-reader, I can carry my whole library with me, I no longer have to dedicate half my suitcase to books, now I can get back to the important things, 12 pairs of shoes, 7 swimsuits… basically a full wardrobe and a full library does it get any better than that.
In three weeks I am heading back out on vacation, another cruise and you can trust me when I say the reader will be coming with me ( as will my IPad with the Kobo App, never know when Kent will want to read as well right)
One of the best things about the Bookstore is that I can create collections of books that I want to read on my device so that accessing something in a specific genre is quick and easy. For me a collection of fiction, some Nora and some Jude for sure, plus I have a collection of Young Adult fiction, I am addicted to the I am Number Four Series, The Gone Series. and a few others I will not name here. I seriously would love to tell you I read serious non fiction works but no I love light hearted fiction, reading is my escape and for tht I like to be entertained, I do not want to have to think hard about what I am doing. I also have a collection of the 100 greatest reads, not for me that would be Kent, but at least its on my app right??. He is working his way through the 100 greatest books of all time as I read Iris Johansen.
