Well I am back to the land of not sequins and bright lights. Vegas was amazing and we had a blast. Which you probably know already if you followed my Insta Stories, if you weren’t following well why the heck not?
Vegas Travel and a few Treats
So just before leaving for Vegas I purchased a new carry-on bag and decided on Saturday I really need the matching suitcase.Off to Winners to pick up my pink and gold BEBE bag and I also found a new Rae Dunn mug, I found TRAVEL. How perfect is that? And how awesome are my new bags, pretty pink luggage.
Vegas Days and the New York New York
We left for Vegas on Saturday and arrived by 11:00 so off to a kicking start. On Sunday, we had a gorgeous sunny day, not to warm but perfect for wondering. It was one of the few days I made Kent take a bunch of pictures. I thought maybe a fun trip down the Vegas Strip would be enjoyable.
Starting off with the Hershey Store because we were at New York New York. What a great Hotel and part of the M-Life Program so a double win. NYNY has numerous great food spots, an amazing Casino, Pool and even a Roller Coaster. Sadly the coaster was not re-opening until Friday March 2nd, we left the first. The Hershey Store was new to us, opening since the last time we were there.
Casino Hopping down the Vegas Strip
Next up was the Aria followed quickly by the Cosmopolitan. OK Truth be told we hit every Casino on the strip but picture wise I had to be somewhat selective. The fun statue near the Aria just outside the Shops of Crystal.
The Cosmopolitan just grabbed me, I mean shoes, shiny crystals and purple hues. What was not to love.
Next stop for a picture was the Venetian. There was a LOVE sign so who could resist? The Venetian Las Vegas to unveiled LOVE, a larger than life installation in the Waterfall Atrium. Created by celebrated artist Laura Kimpton as part of her Monumental Word Series, the installation, perforated with bird-shaped stamps, spells LOVE in steel Ruby red letters that rise 12 feet tall and collectively span 36 feet across, creating a memorable experience. Las Vegas Weekly says, “[…] selfies and shares abound with the latest wave of public art,” and they’re right; it’s a truly share-worthy piece.
Also at the Venetian was Exhibitionism. An immersive exhibit that tells the story of the Rolling Stones. The exhibit features more than 500 items, including a vintage guitar gallery, rare instruments and lyric books, backstage and tour paraphernalia, album art, photography, stage designs, and personal diaries and letters.
Packing was relatively simple, sticking to black and white to minimize my shoes. I knew there would be a ton of walking and I wanted to be comfortable. My striped pants and checked shirt seemed perfect. Underneath my Honest Heart Collective tee and of course converse. ( I made it +20,000 steps every day, yea me.) I added my black Old Navy Boyfriend Cardigan and wore it every day.
So that was my first full day, hoped you enjoyed seeing some of Vegas.
